New layout for Microlearning.org
I made a new layout for Microlearning.org, check it out.
(Is anybody reading this? Please make noise if you do. Otherwise, there's not much to post here. If you speak German, visit my other blogs: PlasticThinking, BildungsBlog, Flash Gamez.)

Wikipedia article on Microlearning
I just started an article on Microlearning in the English language Wikipedia:
Microlearning - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Thanks go to Theo Hug for revising the article I initially wrote and to Norm Friesen for expression hints.
I am excited to see if the entry is going to make it. Feel free to contribute.

Microlearning blogs at Technorati
If you happen to blog about Microlearning and have a Technorati account (or don't mind getting one), please claim your blog and tag it with 'microlearning'. Your blog will then be listed in the sidebar for the Microlearning Tag, right there at the left side where it says 'Who's Blogging about Microlearning'. Your blog will also appear in the Blog Finder: Blogs about microlearning and Explore: microlearning. Isn't that neat, or what?
Note that tagging blogs is different from tagging individual blog posts: You can tag your posts anytime, but you need to sign up at Technorati to assign tags to your blog as a whole.

More photos from Innsbruck
Still not very much time for blogging, but here are some new photos from Innsbruck which I uploaded to Flickr. Currently I'm working on a definition attempt for the term Microlearning. I hope to make a Wikipedia article out of it in a couple of days, so that we can work on it together.

Microlearning 2005 Conference Proceedings
I already mentioned that in the (German) BildungsBlog, but here's a little extra for my international readership: The proceedings of the Microlearning 2005 conference in Innsbruck are available for download as PDF!
Microlearning: Emerging Concepts, Practices and Technologies after e-Learning. Proceedings of Microlearning 2005.
Theo Hug, Martin Lindner, Peter A. Bruck (ed.). Innsbruck 2006.
Download as PDF (230 pages / 4,7MB).
You will also find my contribution there: 'Self directed learning with personal publishing and microcontent - constructivist approach and insights for institutional implementations'.

I hardly blog these days
But I can implement a new design :-)
Like it? It's kinda miminalistic, but I like it much better than the previous one. As usual, it is W3C-compliant, valid XHTML, does not make use of tables, and relies on CSS formatting for layout purposes.
(As always, I am much more likely to post something to my German blog - if I find the time.)

Sign of Life
Hi there! Some people have been asking me if everything is allright with me, since I haven't been posting here for a pretty long time. Well, what can I say? I'm fine, but it just seems like blogging in english does not really work for me.
Anyhow, here's a little roundup of what's been happening, just in case you're wondering, too.
After having written my diploma thesis, I finally managed to do all the diploma exams at the end of last year, and got my diploma with honors :)
Since the beginning of April I've left the city of Giessen and currently reside in Innsbruck, Austria. I will be working for the eLearning Environments Studio of Researchstudio.at until the end of June, maybe longer. I was already here last year at the Microlearning Conference 2005, and now I am working for them on the didactial research & design of their microlearning product, which goes by the name of Knowledgepulse.
Unfortunately, I do not have internet access in the flat where I am staying, so there won't be much blogging going on in the next couple of months, since I have to stay longer at my workplace to use the internet for private purposes. It's pretty hard not to have internet access at home when you're used to reading, blogging, listening to music, chatting with friends, making calls with skype, watching tv and pretty much everthying else on the internet. I feel kinda disabled. But I do like my new job, so I guess that makes it up.
Oh and by the way, I got a new phone number here coz the roaming charges for my German SIM card are just ridiculous. So I got myself an Austrian SIM card by T-Mobile, the number is +43 676 395-3423. Feel free to call!
